Banana biscotti with yummy chocolate chips

Ingredients

  • ½ cup of softened butter
  • 1 cup of granulated sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 3 cups of flour
  • ½ cup of ripped banana
  • 1 tsp of extracted vanilla
  • 3 tsp of baking powder
  • 1 cup of chocolate chips
  • ¼ tsp of salt

Instructions

Keep the temperature of the oven at 350 degrees. Line the silicon mat or parchment paper with large baking sheet. Take a medium size bowl and add salt, baking powder, and flour in it and keep it aside. Take another bowl and mix butter and sugar in it till it becomes creamy. Add vanilla, eggs and banana in it and mix it till it becomes smooth.

After preparing two bowls, add the flour mixture in the other bowl and mix it completely till it gets incorporated. Now add chocolate chips in it. Divide the dough in two half pieces, and shapes each portion into rectangle. Try to use the greasy hands to the dough because the dough will be sticky.

Bake both the biscotti in the prepared oven for 25 to 28 minutes. You can check it by putting a toothpick in the center that comes out clean.  After baking, let it cool down on the cookie sheet for 15 minutes. Move each of the half pieces to the cutting board and cut it crosswise into ½ inches slices. Place all the pieces in the sheet and bake it bake again for at least 12 minutes so that it get brown color. Bake the other side of the biscuits by flipping. When baked fully, remove them from the baking sheet and cool them on the wire rank.

Tips            

  • Use spray to make the hands greasy and non sticky.
  • Use serrated bread knife to cut the slices.
  • Serve them with a hot drink
